I have knowledge and experience with a variety of counseling and psychotheraputic modalities and continue to hone my skills. Some modalities I utilize include: Person Centered, Trauma-informed and Harm Reduction practices, Strength Based, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Sensorimotor psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative therapy, creative/ art/ expressive/ movement/ play- based therapies, Brief Single Session Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic, Holistic & Integrative, and Relational Psychotherapy.
I have knowledge and experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy services in a variety of areas including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and a variety of disabilities (learning, developmental, cognitive, neurological, physical), trauma, violence, abuse (physical, emotional, verbal, psychological, economic, financial, sexual, domestic/ environmental, intimate partner violence, social, ritual, religious/ spiritual), suicidality and self- harm, anxiety, stress, depression, behavioral addictions, personality disorders (borderline, antisocial, narcissistic, avoidant, dependent, OCD), relationships, family and interpersonal issues, academic, behavioral, social and identity/self- esteem and self-worth issues, grief, gender and sexuality, and a variety of social and psychosocial issues (e.g. major life events & transitions, immigration, poverty, oppression, racial injustice, ethno- cultural & social justice). I continue to engage in professional development to expand my horizons and skills and to ethically, authentically and genuinely provide a meaningful experience to my clients as well as to continue to maintain the solid integrity of my practice.
